The 1000 Islands History Museum, established in 1995, is a registered charity, dedicated to the acquisition, preservation, interpretation and study of the unique heritage in the region now known as Leeds and the Thousand Islands, as well as a focus on Gananoque. The Museum receives approximately 30,000 visitors annually.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The 1000 Islands History Museum acknowledges that we are on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee First Peoples. The Museum honours the Indigenous presence on this land and thanks these nations for their stewardship, which dates back over 10,000 years.
